Answer

Fake Pasha blue means a replica Pasha de Cartier watch with a blue dial. The Pasha line dates to 1985. Cartier sells blue dial Pasha models in more than one case size. Copies of those watches exist in steel and in two-tone. No single detail proves a watch is genuine. Dial print, crown cap, chain, caseback, and papers have to agree with each other.

What the Pasha blue dial is

The Pasha de Cartier arrived in 1985. Gerald Genta designed the case. Details: a round case, four Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9, a screw-down crown cap, and a chain that ties the cap to the lugs. Some versions carry a grille over the crystal.

Blue dial Pasha watches appear in 35 mm and 41 mm sizes across generations. Dial finish changed over time. Some blue dials have a sunray brush. Others are flat. Dial text changed too. Older steel Pasha C models carry different print than current models. Cartier is the source for the reference number that matches a given watch.

Checks

  1. Crown cap. It should unscrew, then screw back down on clean threads. Copies bind or sit proud of the case.
  2. Chain. Link count, thickness, and end pins vary by reference. Thin links and a loose fit are common on copies.
  3. Cabochon. Cartier uses a faceted synthetic spinel. Copies use glass or plastic. Glass reads flat and cloudy under light.
  4. Dial print. Check the shape of each letter in CARTIER, the space under 12, and SWISS MADE at the bottom. Blurry edges and uneven spacing show up on copies.
  5. Blue tone. Copies run purple or too bright. A real blue dial shifts with the light.
  6. Date window. Check the cut, the font, and the position under the 3 numeral.
  7. Caseback. Engraving depth and font weight. Serial and reference stamps sit deep on genuine cases.
  8. Movement. Newer Pasha models use the in-house 1847 MC. Older Pasha C models use outsourced calibers, so a non-Cartier movement is not proof by itself.

What photos miss

Photos do not show weight, thread feel, or the way light moves on the dial. Ask for a video of the crown cap in use, a shot of the caseback under raking light, and the service history. Some sellers refuse. That refusal is data.

Price and paperwork

Price is not a test. Copies sell at $80 and at $800. Cartier boxes, booklets, and cards get copied. A Cartier service paper with a matching serial is stronger than a box. When the reference number is in doubt, ask Cartier.
